FM574 is designed to power two-/three-phase synchronous stepper motors or three-phase asynchronous induction motors.

 

Synchronous two-/three-phase stepper are a special category of motors. They are often used with direct connection to the power line. The phase displacement required between the phases is obtained with the aid of capacitors and switches in configurations more or less complex depending on the job.

This inverter removes the link between the frequency of the power line and the speed, in addition it allows to adjust voltage and current supplied to the motor (even at zero speed), and is fully programmable.

Through the serial interface RS232/RS485 based on ModBus protocol, are available all the configuration and control parameters.

The configuration is assisted by a PC program, which offers a catalog of over 44 models of predefined stepper motor setup ready for use.

It is possibile to save to a file each set of configuration parameters to recall at any time to store the work.

 

An optional board make availabel a PROFIBUS port and an incremental encoder input (useful to close e speed control loop for asynchronous motors).

 

The inverter can also operate as a V/F speed controller for the traditional three-phase asynchronous motors with currents up to 10A nominal (with the addition of an heatsink with forced ventilation).
